The Gold Standard MCAT Prep on 16 DVDs Review

This is a decent enough review tool. We get through a lot of material in a brief amount of time (about 4 - 5 hours per subject area). I liked that fact about the videos.

However, the instructor makes statements about different topics that I didn't always trust. Certain equations were called out as things that we didn't need to memorize for the MCAT, but this was too generous when assigning things that you didn't need to memorize (such as the equation of motion for a pendulum).

Also the examples given were very basic. I would have liked to see more "gotchas" that could be expected on the test.

Lastly, the instructor himself is a bit much. He is trying to relate to the audience so much that it comes off as really forced.

In short, this was good for a quick review, but should not be the only tool used. Given the choice again, I proably would not purchase this material.
