Precise Exits and Entries: The Guide to Average True Range and Average Directional Index (Wiley Trading Video) Review
I watched the videos with a pen and paper in hand expecting to learn about "precise" entry and exit points using ADX and ATR. While Mr. LeBeau is clearly a seasoned trader, he basically offers an overview of what those indicators are and a "general" (not precise) method on how they may be used. He spends about as much time going over RSI and Williams%.I had expected to hear something akin to this: "everyday I scan for stocks that have ADX below 25 and ATR above $0.75 and then I buy when ADX does this or that and ATR is doing whatever . . . "
But he really just offers some general guidance on how these things "may" be used. I did find it beneficial, and I'm glad I bought the product, I'm just not sure the title lives up to its definition.
LeBeau states several times that traders should not confuse an "indicator" with a trading "system". I suppose I had expected to learn a "system" based on these "indicators", but that's not what you get. He does offer some ideas but never comes around to giving detailed instructions or an actual strategy that you can walk away from and use. He rather has some "ideas" that you could integrate into a system, but there was no precision presented.
