On his way Saint Nicholas is arrested, accused of being a spy, and is sent to a Spanish prison where he may have to spend the rest of his days, until and energetic young man, Pete (Flex Aledander, She's All That, The Fources) come to his rescue. Santa and Pete become a team dedicated to making children happy. When they cross the Atlantic to the new world in winter, they trade their horse carriage for reindeer pulled sleigh, and Santa accepts a new thick red coat, made for him by Native Americans. Everywhere they go, they bring lasting harmony, peace and hapiness. A timely tale of racial harmony, promoting peace and equality, featuring superb performance by James Earl Jones, Hume Cronyn and Flex Alexander. What a wonderful story. Being an immigrant from The Netherlands, the story of 'Santa' and Pete (Sint and Piet) is all to familiar. It is great to see how they link Saint Nicolas to the North American Santa. A must see during the holiday season.
