I really enjoy docs from the seventies. Maybe it's because all the things they predicted would happpen haven't. The Atlantis doc is a case in point. Back when this was made global cooling was the fade. All the arguments we hear about global warming are used here to predict catastrophic global cooling. One of the interviewees touts a a book with a title like "The Coming Global Ice Age." This same guy talks about how animals, people and even TREES walked across the Bering Straits because there was an ice bridge thousand of years ago. Another expert who works at a college I really want to stear clear of pontificates on how science needs to accept hunhces and "different ways of knowing," on the same footing as double blind studies. Even though I am skeptical on all the theories of the Atlantis doc I find it extremly entertaing. The Loch Ness doc is the slower of the two but there is one spot in this that is hilarious. I'll try to describe it. The narator follows a man walking in a jungle and states that while you are walking you may hear a noise and see a tremendous quick flash of a monster attacking you. It then pans to the slowest kimodo Dragon I've ever seen lumbering through the jungle.
