"The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship" is a story created by both Cosgrove Hall and premiered on the PBS series "Long ago and far away" and is easily the most charming story ever created.

This tale is about a young man who receives a flying ship from an old man and takes with him six unusual superhumans to go to the Czar's winter palace. When they get there, the seven friends realize that the Czar had set out impossible tasks for them to complete before he can marry Pyotr to the Czar's daughter. Can the seven friends complete the tasks on time?

The style of this story is way ahead of its time as they use claymation to make the story more creative and interesting to look at. The story itself is interesting and intense at the same time, especially towards the end of the story. I would recommend this DVD to both children and adults since it has humor and romance that everyone will appreciate.

Also, if you love this DVD, I would suggest that you also look at the Rabbit Ears version that is narrated by Robin Williams, since that version is hilarious and creative to watch.
