Six Million Dollar Man Bonus Features w/3 Reunion Movies & Syndicated Version of 1st 3 SMDM TV movies Return of The Six Million Dollar Man/Bionic Showdown/Bionic Ever After/The Moon & The Desert/Wine, Women & War/The Solid Gold Kidnapping+11 Featurettes Review

Relive the thrill of watching the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman, as they both reprise their old familiar roles of the '70s and team up to stop spies and espionage from pentetrating Washington, DC!!

Steve Austin (Lee Majors) and Jamie Sommers (Lindsay Wagner)return in three major TV reunion movies to take on secret missions given to then by their boss Oscar Goldman (Richard Anderson). Together, they help stop crime dead in its tracks, nail the bad guys and help restore law and order with their extraordinary bionic powers!!

Also, keeping a watchful eye over them just in case things might go wrong with their bionics, is Dr Rudy Wells (Martin E. Brooks), who rebuilt them and made them better, stonger and faster that they ever were before they had their top-secret surgeries.

Leaping on the tops of small buildings, lifting and turning cars over, running in excess of 60 mph, bending steel with their bare hands and tossing their attackers up to 30 feet in the air, they take on assignments that no one else would dare to touch!!

This collection of movies is great to have!! Plus, witth the set are several featuretts, where the stars of the movies go behind the scenes to tell you how it's all done and the roles they play, as well as bionics being used by patients in real life!!

This set of DVD's is rather expensive, but I think it is something that you'll want to have, cherish and watch over & over again, possibly forever!!!

The full-length TV films are;

1. The Return of the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman.

Fortress is hell-bent on getting even with Steve & Washington for helping put Lyle Standing in prison. It takes the help of both Steve & Jamie, plus Steve's son Michael who is now bionic also, to help put the perpetrators back behind bars!

2. The Bionic Showdown.

Steve & Jamie return for another secret mission; To find out who the person is that filtrated Washington as a bionic betrayer. In this one, Sandra Bullock who plays Kate, gets a bionic makeover.

3. Bionic Ever After.

In the 3rd film, Steve and Jamie go abroad to stop another epionage takeover. Their bionics powers are sabotaged by an evil agent who is trying to stop them from foiling their mission. Also, the long-awaited wedding that never took place between Steve and Jamie in any of the shows, finally happens after Steve and Jamie complete their secret mission!!

Plenty of action-packed high-speed super-charged adventure in all three films!!!

INXS: Live Baby Live Review

It's been years since I've put in my VHS copy of this show and I had forgotten how good it is. This DVD is a treasure, not only to see Hutchence and company at the top of their game, but of course just to see Hutchence and be reminded of his charisma and stage presence. It is with admiration and sadness that I watch him take control of the Wembly crowd and perform every song like it was his last performance. What electricity, honesty, ... what a spark he had. Not that the rest of the chaps, especially Jon, don't seem to be having just as good a time. It really is the band in historic form. From "Original Sin" to "I Send a Message" to "Suicide Blonde," it's just about the perfect time capsule for the band (although I happen to think Welcome To Wherever You Are is one of music's great underrated masterpieces and would love a DVD from that era). I swear, when the Wembly crowd takes the vocals from Hutchence on "Mystify" in glorious DTS 5.1 sound I want to sing along. I would have loved an enhanced 16X9 widescreen picture, but how small a quibble is that? I haven't had a chance to go through the bonus features, but they're plentiful. Until INXS release a comprehensive and remastered DVD compilation of their video clips, this will do just fine.

Technology and murder collide in this highly charged suspense thriller torn from today's headlines. Stuck in a go-nowhere marriage, Brad Collins begins having illicit affairs via the Internet. Each new, steamy liaison brings him closer and closer to danger as a killer stalks the Internet and has made Collins a target.

Virtual Desire Review

It's not really worth it, because the version of the movie I got is edited. They've cut cut all the good sex scenes (which is why we buy it). I had the same thing happen to me with "The Price of Desire". They want to sell more movies, so they cut it down to make it a "R" movie rather than "NR". It is all a bunch of crap, because it's my money.

Also, I saw Massuese 3, and every scene in this movie is also in that movie. Luckily for me, I got to see the full sex scenes in that movie. I got this movie, because of Annette Burger. It seems she was only in two movies, this one and Massuese 3. I guess now I know why. She was only in one movie really.

Find the unedited version and don't bother with this crap.

The DEFA Sci-Fi Collection

Price: $3,769.00

Product Description

Newly re-mastered and packed with fascinating bonus materials, THE DEFA SCI-FI COLLECTION features three seminal works from the legendary DEFA film studio:
The Silent Star, Eolomea and In the Dust of the Stars. Always provocative, hugely influential and highly entertaining, these mind-bending stories of space exploration, alien races and utopian dreams (or nightmares) are finally available, unaltered and unedited, in all their space-age glory.

DEFA (Deutsche Filmaktiengesellschaft) was made up of the state-run studios of the former German Democratic Republic or East Germany. DEFA was headquartered in the legendary UFA Studios of the "film city" of Babelsberg near Berlin and was famous for the work of such artists as Fritz Lang, Billy Wilder and Marlene Dietrich. Spanning from 1946 to the 1990s, this body of films represents Europe's largest cohesive national cinema collection.

THE SILENT STAR
A film by Kurt Maetzig, based on Stanislaw Lem's novel The Astronauts. In this celebrated sci-fi classic, a mysterious object from outer space is found in the Gobi desert. An international expedition, dispatched to Venus to decipher the message it contains, discovers it is a declaration of war - on Earth!

The first sci-fi film made in East Germany by the legendary DEFA film studio, The Silent Star is a masterpiece in story, art and set design, and technology and was the forerunner of 2001: A Space Odyssey and, later, Contact. Based on the novel by Stanislaw Lem (who also wrote Solaris) and made during the U.S./U.S.S.R. space race set off by the Sputnik launch, The Silent Star is now finally available unedited and unaltered in this digitally remastered version.

IN THE DUST OF THE STARS
A film by Gottfried Kolditz. After a six year voyage from Earth provoked by an urgent message for help, the spaceship Cyrno and her crew arrive on the planet TEM 4 ready for action. But the "Temers" deny having sent the message. Before departing, one of the crewman discovers something mysterious going on under the surface of TEM 4. This groovy 70's sci-fi classic, replete with space age costumes, liberal social mores, and a socialist utopian undercurrent, is an enjoyable gem from the legendary DEFA East German film studio. Newly remastered, this version presents the original, unedited film in all its glory.

EOLOMEA
A film by Hermann Zschoche. A mysterious message - "Eolomea" - is received on Earth from a sector of space. Within three days, eight cargo ships disappear from the sector, and a space station goes silent. What is Eolomea - and who on Earth knows about it?

With shades of Tarkovsky, Kubrick, and even Jess Franco, this striking sci-fi classic from the legendary DEFA film studio features a spectacular space exploration plot grounded in realism the scientists drink and swear, the bureaucrats get in the way, and the space stations are reminiscent of MIR.

The DEFA Sci-Fi Collection Review

Just reviewed my DEFA SCI FI collection. There are a few minor points about the Amazon listing for this collection. Note that it only contains 3 discs, not the 5 as listed. All of the features are presented in anamorphic widescreen in the proper ARs.

All three films are presented in German with English subtitles. The quality is quite good overall. The weakest transfer is the earliest, SILENT STAR (aka FIRST SPACESHIP ON VENUS). The transfer is a bit soft and there are some occasional minor color fluctuations around reel changes. It still looks much better than Image's DVD of FIRST SPACESHIP ON VENUS (the only other 2.35:1 transfer of this title on DVD).

The other two films were released in 1972 and 1976. I had never seen them before and found them interesting.

The SILENT STAR disc was obviously made in cooperation with UMASS, and probably contains most of the same extras that their $185 disc contains!

For fans of Euro Sci-Fi, this is a very interesting collection that I highly recommend.
